Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Cabernet sauvignon is misschien wel de populairste rode wijnsoort ter wereld, die krachtige en complexe wijnen voortbrengt die vaak tientallen jaren oud kunnen worden. De beste Cabernet Sauvignon wijnen zijn vol van smaak met intense cassis, zwarte kersen en tonen van donkere bessen, stevige tannines en hoge tannines. Cabernet sauvignon wordt vaak gemengd met andere rode wijnsoorten zoals merlot om extra rijkdom en soepelheid toe te voegen.

    Belangrijke Cabernet Sauvignon regio's

    Cabernet sauvignon staat overal ter wereld aangeplant, maar de beroemdste voorbeelden komen uit de linkeroever van Bordeaux, waar hij meestal wordt gemengd met verschillende andere druiven zoals Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot en Malbec. De belangrijkste appellations hier zijn St-Estephe, Pauillac, St-Julien en Margaux. Cabernet sauvignon uit deze subregio's heeft vaak stevige tannines en hints van tabaksbladeren of kreupelhout als gevolg van het tamelijk koele zeeklimaat. Een andere belangrijke regio voor cabernet is de Napa Valley, waar het warmere klimaat rijkere en rijpere wijnen oplevert.

    Cabernet Sauvignon Food Pairings

    Cabernet sauvignon-wijnen zijn over het algemeen vol van smaak en krachtig, waardoor ze uitstekend passen bij rood vlees. Uitstekende combinaties zijn ribeye steak, gebarbecuede ribbetjes, rijke stoofschotels en wildgerechten zoals wild en zelfs wild zwijn. Het is een goed idee om jonge Cabernet Sauvignon wijnen te combineren met dit soort stevige gerechten om de stevige tannines te compenseren.
