Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Nieuw-Zeelandse wijnen

    Hoewel de wijnbouw in Nieuw-Zeeland pas halverwege de 20e eeuw op gang kwam, heeft het land tegenwoordig een reputatie voor Sauvignon Blanc en Pinot Noir van topkwaliteit, waardoor dit de populairste Nieuw-Zeelandse wijnen online zijn. Nieuw-Zeeland wordt grotendeels gekenmerkt door kleine en middelgrote ambachtelijke producenten en ongeveer 90% van de productie van het land is bestemd voor de export.

    Belangrijkste Nieuw-Zeelandse wijngebieden

    Nieuw-Zeeland heeft de meest zuidelijke wijngaarden ter wereld in Central Otago op het Zuidereiland, waar uitzonderlijke Pinot Noir met een koel klimaat wordt geproduceerd. Er is een aanzienlijke variatie in terroir in het land, met het meest noordelijke wijngebied van Northland met warme, vochtige zomers. De beroemdste wijngebieden van het land zijn Marlborough, beroemd om zijn Sauvignon Blanc, Hawke's Bay en Gisborne, bekend om zijn aromatische Chardonnay.

    Nieuw-Zeelandse druivenrassen

    De meest geteelde druif in Nieuw-Zeeland is de Sauvignon Blanc, die ongeveer 70% van de totale productie van het land voor zijn rekening neemt. Klassieke exemplaren zijn intens en aromatisch met kenmerkende tonen van kruisbes, passievrucht en vers gemaaid gras. Op de tweede plaats komt Pinot Noir, die wordt verbouwd in koelere, zuidelijke regio's zoals Marlborough, Central Otago en Canterbury. Hij gaat bijzonder goed samen met geroosterd lamsvlees, een klassiek Nieuw-Zeelands gerecht. Andere populaire rassen zijn Riesling en Chardonnay voor witte wijnen en Merlot en Cabernet Sauvignon voor rode blends.
