Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Gesticht door schrijver en wijnhandelaar Steven Spurrier en zijn vrouw Arabella, ligt Bride Valley Estate in Zuid-West Engeland in het opkomende wijngebied van Dorset. Hier genieten de wijnstokken van een bodem die vrijwel identiek is aan die van de Montagne de Reims, in de Champagne, en de ligging van de wijngaarden, op hellende hellingen op het zuiden, garandeert bijzonder gunstige klimatologische omstandigheden voor de Chardonnay, Pinot Noir en Pinot Meunier wijnstokken. Voor alle vinificatieprocessen stuurt het domein zijn druiven naar Furleigh Estate. De eerste jaargang die op de markt kwam was in 2011.

    De Blanc de Blancs Brut Bride Valley, die wordt beschouwd als de meest representatieve wijn van het landgoed, is een elegante mousserende wijn die uitsluitend wordt gemaakt van Chardonnay druiven en 24 maanden rijpt op de wijnmoer.

    De wijn heeft een heldere bleke citroenkleur, verlevendigd door een fijne en aanhoudende perlage. Het aromaprofiel is elegant, met tonen van citrus, steenfruit en witte bloemen, geroosterde hints en delicate aroma's van honing en brioche. In de mond is hij fris en levendig met een citruszuur en een heerlijke knapperigheid die doet denken aan Granny Smith-appels. Hij is rijk en romig met een lange en levendige afdronk. Hij past goed bij alle soorten zeevruchten, zelfs rauw, en is perfect bij witte vis en rijke salades.
