Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Bastardo is een heldere rode wijn met een gul, kruidig aroma. U kunt tonen ontdekken van rijpe kersen, bosvruchten en warme kruiden, samen met kaneel en vanille. Hij is gemaakt van 100% Bastardo, in Frankrijk ook wel "Trousseau" genoemd, afkomstig van wijngaarden in familiebezit in de Douro-regio in Noord-Portugal.

    Conceito Winery wordt geleid door Rita Ferreira Marques uit de Dourovallei. Ze wordt bijgestaan door wijnmaker Manuel Sapage en wijnbouwer Nuno Fernandes, die haar respectievelijk in de kelder en de wijngaard helpen. De wijnen van Conceito zijn een fantastische kennismaking met Portugese wijn in het algemeen, waarbij minder bekende druiven worden gebruikt, vaak in grote veldblends, om een prachtige reeks complexe wijnen te creëren.

    Het gehemelte is zijdezacht en geruststellend, en omhult de tong met zoete smaken van kersen, frambozen en zwarte bessen, kruiden en hints van bladkruiden. Bastardo druiven geven niet veel kleur aan een wijn - deze heeft een lichte robijnrode tint, die wordt gecontrasteerd door fijne tannines en een dicht mondgevoel. De wijn rijpte 8 maanden in Franse eiken vaten. Voor een proefavond kunt u deze wijn vergelijken met zijn rivaal Legítimo, ook geproduceerd door Conceito Winery. Bastardo is perfect om te combineren met een breed scala aan gerechten, van Aziatische gerechten tot een tomatensaus.
