Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Van de Californische smaakmaker Prisoner komt deze geherdefinieerde Cabernet Sauvignon. Het draagt het iconische etiket geïnspireerd op Francisco Goya's schets Le Petit Prisonier - onderdeel van een serie bedoeld om visueel te protesteren tegen de Spaanse Onafhankelijkheidsoorlog. The Prisoner Wine Company gebruikt deze afbeelding om aan te geven dat zij "solidair is met de strijd tegen racisme, massale opsluiting en de systematische onderdrukking van zwarte gemeenschappen."

    Deze wijn is trouw gebleven aan een stijl die minder vertegenwoordigde rassen uit Californië wilde opnemen en bestaat uit een blend van kleine porties Merlot, Syrah, Malbec, Petit Syrah en Charbono. Hij rijpt in een combinatie van Franse en Amerikaanse eiken vaten, waarvan 50% nieuw. In de neus ziet u zwarte kersen, rijpe pruimen en vanille. De weelderige textuur draagt tonen van bramen en kersen, cacao en bakkruiden. Deze wijn kan ongeveer 10 jaar bewaard worden, maar met ronde medium tannines en een gemiddelde zuurgraad kan er nu al van genoten worden.
