    De Bulgaarse Bessa-vallei ligt in de heuvels tussen het Rhodope-gebergte en de Maritsa-rivier, die uitstekende omstandigheden scheppen voor de wijnbouw. De verkoelende invloed van de bergen en de uitstekende klei-kalksteenbodems trokken de aandacht van graaf Stephan von Neipperg, die verschillende belangrijke Bordeaux-landgoederen bezit, zoals Chateau Canon La Gaffeliere en La Mondotte, en inspireerden hem om hier zijn eigen wijnmakerij te stichten.

    De 140 hectare wijngaarden van het domein, beplant met Bordeaux rassen zoals Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon en Petit Verdot, helpen bij het creëren van goed gestructureerde, elegante wijnen zoals deze Reserva. De cuvee is voornamelijk samengesteld uit Merlot en Syrah, samen met een vleugje Cabernet Sauvignon en Petit Verdot. Om alle componenten te harmoniseren en volledig te integreren, rijpt de jonge wijn 18 maanden in nieuwe Franse eiken vaten voordat hij wordt gebotteld.

    Deze wijn zal liefhebbers van grote, krachtige rode wijnen zeker bevallen en barst van de sappige tonen van cassis, bramen en donkere kersen met ondertonen van gedroogde kruiden, leer en pure chocolade. In de mond is er een stevige volle body, stevige tannines en een heldere kern van rijp donker fruit dat in de mond blijft hangen. Heerlijk om te drinken bij vleeswaren, geroosterd lamsvlees of pastagerechten op basis van tomaten.
    Toevoegen om te vergelijken
