Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Cornelio Dinastia is een familiewijnhuis in Rioja met een lange traditie. Het bedrijf produceert wijnen van hoge kwaliteit, die het typische karakter en de essentie van hun land overbrengen, door te weten hoe ze de kwaliteiten ervan kunnen versterken en door tijdens het hele productieproces zo weinig mogelijk interventietechnieken te gebruiken. Hun inzet voor biologische wijnbouw bracht hen ertoe de Vega Vella serie te creëren.

    Geproduceerd met 100% Tempranillo druiven, met de hand geselecteerd en geoogst, van meer dan vijftig jaar oude wijngaarden, gelegen op een hoogte van meer dan 500 meter. De malolactische gisting vindt plaats in nieuwe Amerikaanse eikenhouten barriques, om de kleur en structuur van de druiven te behouden. De wijn blijft vervolgens minimaal 14 maanden in nieuwe Amerikaanse vaten en voltooit de verfijning in de fles gedurende meer dan een jaar.

    In het glas vallen heldere purperrode tonen op met subtiele robijnrode reflecties. In de neus onthult de wijn aangename aroma's van zwart en rood fruit, met hints van kokosnoot, vanille en kruiden. In de mond keert het rijpe fruit met intensiteit terug, gevolgd door geroosterde tonen. Het is een complexe, elegante, goed gestructureerde wijn met krachtige tannines. Hij is heerlijk bij rood vlees of wild en perfect bij hertenvlees geserveerd met chocoladesaus.
