Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Domaine Zind-Humbrecht is opgericht in 1959, door de fusie van twee oude wijnmakende families. De familie Humbrecht bewerkt de heuvels van de Elzas al heel lang, maar meestal als nederige druiventelers, die nooit onder hun naam wijn bottelden of merkten. Dat veranderde met het huwelijk van Léonard Humbrecht en Geneviève Zind.

    Tijdens de jaren '60 en '70 zette Domaine Zind-Humbrecht hun zinnen op de verjonging van de Elzas. Ze verzamelden verschillende verlaten percelen, waarvan sommige zijn uitgegroeid tot hedendaagse Grand Crus. De Rangen de Thann is er één van, een wijngaard van de meest zeldzame kwaliteit, gelegen in het meest zuidelijke puntje van de Elzas.

    Deze Riesling Grand Cru is levendig, diepgeel en heeft een explosieve neus van vuursteen, buskruit en appel. In de mond tonen van citroen, limoen en groene appelschil, met een licht stroperige zilte textuur. Deze wijn is echter uniek door zijn diepte van steenachtige mineralen en rook. Hij is door en door droog, met een lange, opwindende afdronk. Dit is een eersteklas voorbeeld van een van de beste wijngaarden van de Elzas en is perfect voor een grote gelegenheid of om te bewaren. Hij is het waard om alleen te drinken, maar zal ook fantastisch zijn met Camembert, Brie of een romige saus.
    Toevoegen om te vergelijken
    In de jaren zestig en zeventig zette Domaine Zind-Humbrecht zijn zinnen op de verjonging van de Elzas. Ze verzamelden verschillende verlaten eersteklas percelen, waarvan sommige zijn uitgegroeid tot hedendaagse Grand Crus. De Rangen de Thann is er één van, een wijngaard van de zeldzaamste kwaliteit, gelegen in het meest zuidelijke puntje van de Elzas. Deze Riesling Grand Cru is levendig, diepgeel en vertoont een explosieve neus van vuursteen, buskruit en appel.
