Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    El Enemigo is een spannend Argentijns project opgericht door Catena Zapata chef-wijnmaker Alejandro Vigil en historica Adrianna Catena, de jongste dochter van Nicolas Catena. Hun wijnen weerspiegelen hun gedeelde passie voor geschiedenis, filosofie en literatuur, en bieden regelbrekende en romantische expressies van enkele van 's werelds grootste druivenrassen met een kenmerkende Argentijnse twist.

    Hun koelklimaat Cabernet Franc geteeld op hoogte in de spectaculaire wijngaarden van Mendoza aan de voet van de Andes is bijzonder inspirerend. De grotere broer van deze wijn, Alejandro's El Gran Enemigo Cabernet Franc kreeg de hoogste score ooit gegeven aan een zuiver voorbeeld van de variëteit door Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate.

    De druiven voor deze botteling zijn afkomstig van wijngaarden in Gualtallary die tussen de 1400 en 1470 meter boven de zeespiegel liggen. Deze unieke omstandigheden helpen een opmerkelijk intense, krachtige wijn te produceren met perfecte balans en evenwicht dankzij de koele zomeravonden en het lange rijpingsseizoen. De jonge wijn rijpt 16 maanden in 100 jaar oude Elzasser founders of grote eiken vaten die uit Italië zijn geïmporteerd. Het resultaat is een verbluffend mooie rode wijn met weelderige smaken van donkere bessen, soepele tannines en een zeer lange, kruidige afdronk.
