Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Gesticht in 1999, ligt het Fraser Gallop Estate op slechts 6 km van de kust van West-Australië in het noordelijke deelgebied van Wilyabrup in Margaret River. Het landgoed heeft ongeveer 50 hectare wijngaard op kiezel- en kleigrond op zachte hellingen rond de Wilyabrup Brook. De omstandigheden hier doen denken aan die in de Medoc in Bordeaux en het landgoed is gespecialiseerd in het maken van elegante maar krachtige wijnen die geïnspireerd zijn op hun Franse neven.

    Het gematigde zeeklimaat helpt bij het produceren van sensationele Chardonnay dankzij de verkoelende zeebries die de frisheid en de aroma's in de druiven helpt behouden. Fraser Gallop plant zijn Chardonnay wijnstokken op zuidhellingen en al het fruit wordt zorgvuldig met de hand geoogst om de kwaliteit te behouden.

    Eenmaal in de wijnmakerij worden de druiven geperst en gefermenteerd met behulp van wilde gisten in eikenhouten vaten en puncheons van 500 liter. Na de gisting worden de vaten een maand lang wekelijks geroerd om een rijke, romige textuur en meer complexiteit toe te voegen. De jonge wijn wordt vervolgens 9 maanden op vat gerijpt, waardoor subtiele tonen van vanille, geroosterd eikenhout en kruiden zich in de neus vermengen met heldere citrus, perzik en roze grapefruit.
