    Opgericht in 1954, na het huwelijk van Edmond Geantet en Bernadette Pansiot, is het domaine Geantet-Pansiot een familiebedrijf in Bourgondië, Frankrijk. Aanvankelijk besloeg het domein 3 hectare wijngaarden die voornamelijk in Gevrey-Chambertin lagen, terwijl het vandaag de dag 13 hectare zijn geworden en zich ook uitstrekken tot de prestigieuze benamingen Clos Vougeot, Marsannay, Charmes Chambertin, Chambolle Musigny en Bourgogne. Het domein wordt nu geleid door Vincent en zijn zoon Fabien, zoon en kleinzoon van de oprichters, die de familietraditie voortzetten met passie en respect voor hun geweldige terroir.

    De Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes van het Geantet-Pansiot domein is een 100% Pinot Noir, geproduceerd met alleen inheemse gisten en 14 maanden gerijpt in eiken vaten (waarvan 30% nieuw).

    De wijn heeft een helderrode kleur. Het aromatische profiel onthult hints van bessen en viooltjes. In de mond is hij sappig en geconcentreerd met fluwelen tannines en een zeer evenwichtige frisheid. De afdronk is lang en aangenaam met delicate kruidige tonen. Het is een wijn met een uitzonderlijke capaciteit om te verouderen, maar hij kan ook nu gedronken worden bij wild, gans en gebraden fazant.
