Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    La Cipriana wijnhuis, het derde in het Bolgheri DOC gebied, werd opgericht in 1975 door de broers Carlo en Luigi Fabiani. Het bedrijf, sinds 2001 geleid door de dochter van Carlo, Laura, bestaat nu uit 8 hectare wijngaarden, plus 2 recent aangekochte, en 3 olijfgaarden beplant met de rassen Moraiolo, Leccino, Pendolino en Frantoio. De wijngaarden liggen deels rond het zakencentrum waar ook de agrotoeristische accommodatie is gevestigd, en deels aan de Via Bolgherese in het gebied genaamd "Scopaio".

    Cipriana Bolgheri San Martino DOC is een volle rode wijn, met een intense robijnrode kleur, zo diep en sterk als het land waar hij vandaan komt. Zijn heerlijke geur doet denken aan bessen, in een complexe reeks aroma's van balsamico tot bloemen, van fruitig tot kruidig. De blend is een evenwichtige mix tussen cabernet sauvignon en petit verdot, met een smaak die gestructureerd overkomt in de mond maar tegelijkertijd zacht en omhullend is, en waarvan de harmonie na verloop van tijd blijft bestaan. Het is een geweldige partner voor wild, vooral wild zwijn, of gerijpte kaas.
