Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    De Neumeister wijngaarden bieden enkele van de beste locaties in en rond Straden. Elke druivensoort wordt er behandeld volgens de individuele behoeften van die soort en profiteert van de unieke microklimaten in het gebied. De nadruk ligt op natuurlijk beheer van de wijnstokken, inclusief een zeer beperkt gebruik van herbiciden, ongediertebestrijding via natuurlijke maatregelen en rigoureus beheer van het bladerdak. De wijngaarden zijn onlangs volledig biologisch gecertificeerd.

    Om een maximale kwaliteitscontrole te bereiken, worden er verschillende selecties van druiven gemaakt om een optimale rijpheid te garanderen, en tegelijkertijd worden er schoonmaakbeurten gedaan om rot tijdens de rijping tegen te gaan.

    De maceratie vindt plaats in stalen vaten en vervolgens wordt de wijn 5 maanden gerijpt op de droesem in roestvrijstalen vaten om de raseigenschappen van de wijn te behouden.

    De lichte citroenkleur van de neus verraadt meteen dat de wijn typische kenmerken van sauvignon blanc heeft - intense aroma's van vers gemaaid gras, groene appel en een vleugje mineraliteit.

    In de mond combineren groene appel, groene peper en kruisbessen goed met tonen van zwarte bes en kiwi en een vleugje specerijen. De wijn is droog, maar met watertandende zuren die verfrissend zijn en je laten verlangen naar meer. De afdronk is gemiddeld lang en laat zien dat dit een zeer goede Sauvignon Blanc is. Als je van een typische Sauvignon Blanc houdt, zul je hier dol op zijn!

    Deze wijn is geweldig als aperitief, maar past ook heel goed bij zeevruchten, romige kipgerechten en pasta.
