Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Nk'Mip Cellars is uniek in Noord-Amerika als het enige wijnhuis dat wordt gerund en eigendom is van inheemse volken. De naam "Nk'Mip" wordt in het Engels vertaald als "bottomland", een verwijzing naar het feit dat het landgoed is gelegen aan het zuidelijke uiteinde van het Osoyoos Indianenreservaat. Het landgoed is gespecialiseerd in het maken van heerlijke rode wijnen van klassieke Franse rassen als Cabernet Sauvignon en Merlot.

    Dankzij de droge, zonnige omstandigheden in dit deel van de Okanagan Valley bereiken hun druiven een optimale rijpheid met behoud van subtiele aroma's en een evenwichtige frisheid. Het fruit voor deze wijn, vernoemd naar de mythische Dondervogel, is afkomstig van verschillende blokken op het landgoed die beplant zijn met Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot en Pinot Noir.

    Elk perceel wordt apart gevinifieerd om de wijnmakers maximale controle over de blend te geven. Nadat elke partij 18 maanden heeft gerijpt in Franse en Amerikaanse eiken vaten, selecteert het wijnmakersteam de beste componenten om de uiteindelijke cuvee te creëren. Het resultaat is een heerlijke en gemakkelijk drinkbare wijn die barst van de rijpe bosbessen, cassis en bramen, maar ook van zwarte peper, anijs, pure chocolade en tabaksbladeren.
