    Deze voordelige rode wijn is gemaakt door de beroemde wijnadviseur Jean-Claude Berrouet, die vroeger wijn maakte in het legendarische Chateau Petrus in Bordeaux en Dominus in Napa Valley. Tapiz is een van Argentinië's meest high-tech en innovatieve wijnhuizen met een eigen onderzoeks- en ontwikkelingsteam dat samenwerkt met lokale instanties zoals de Universiteit van Cuyo om geavanceerde studies uit te voeren naar het terroir en de wijntechnieken.

    Tapiz's Alta Collection wijnen zijn allemaal gemaakt van topkwaliteit druiven van Finca San Pablo in Mendoza's Uco Valley. De wijngaarden liggen hier op 1400 meter boven de zeespiegel in de uitlopers van het dramatische Andesgebergte. Deze prachtige omgeving profiteert van verkoelende bergwinden en een groot temperatuurverschil tussen dag en nacht, wat helpt om de frisheid en aromatische complexiteit van de druiven te behouden.

    Op de neus zijn er verleidelijke hints van rijpe pruimen, jammy zwarte bessen en kersen, terwijl de eerste slok een goed afgeronde volle body onthult, zachte tannines en een lange kruidige afdronk met tonen van kaneel en kruidnagel van de eikenhouten rijping. Deze weelderige Malbec heeft een goede balans en veel frisheid, waardoor hij uitstekend past bij pastagerechten op basis van tomaten en pizza's.
