Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Elke fles Tinto Pesquera Crianza bevat een stukje geschiedenis van de Ribera del Duero. Alejandro Fernández en Esperanza Rivera begonnen met de productie in 1975, waarmee ze de Ribera del Duero op de wereldwijnkaart zetten, nog voordat het een benaming werd.

    De bereiding volgt de voorouderlijke traditie, met ontstemming gevolgd door gisting. Na een periode in roestvrijstalen vaten rust de wijn 14 maanden in Amerikaanse eiken vaten. Het is een wijn vol fruit, gemakkelijk te benaderen, maar ook in staat om elegant te rijpen. Een fundamentele rode wijn voor wie de wijnen van de Ribera del Duero wil leren kennen. Hoewel de wijnjaren steeds droger lijken als gevolg van de klimaatverandering, behoudt Pesquera Crianza die frisheid die juist het teken is van zijn identiteit.

    De kleur is intens robijnrood met violette reflecties. De neus wordt gedomineerd door hints van wilde bessen en balsamico tonen van het bos. Na verloop van tijd nemen de tonen van zoethout en de kruidige aroma's die samenhangen met de rijping op Amerikaans eikenhout toe, maar altijd met grote verfijning. In de mond is de wijn vlezig, de tannines rond, de zuren perfect geïntegreerd, met een mooie persistentie.Drink hem bij gevulde aubergine, konijn met olijven, of Coq au vin.
