    Bewaartijd tot 10 jaar. Tolpuddle Vineyard is genoemd naar de Tolpuddle Martyrs, een groep landarbeiders die naar Australië werden verscheept voor de misdaad van het vormen van een vakbond. In 1988 erkenden Tony Jordan en Garry Crittenden het wijnbouwpotentieel van het gebied en plantten hier een wijngaard aan. De huidige eigenaren Martin Shaw en Master of Wine Michael Hill Smith kochten het landgoed in 2011 en hebben de reputatie van Tolpuddle gevestigd voor het produceren van uitzonderlijke Tasmaanse wijnen.

    Het klimaat hier is koel en droog met een lang rijpingsseizoen, wat helpt om de frisheid te behouden en een perfecte balans in de druiven te bereiken. Hun Pinot Noir wordt gemaakt in een elegante Bourgondische stijl met veel elegantie en evenwicht. De druiven worden allemaal met de hand geoogst en gefermenteerd in hele trossen voordat de jonge wijn 9 maanden rijpt in Franse eikenhouten vaten.

    De neus is een verleidelijke mix van helder rood fruit en hints van hartige kruiden van de hele tros gisting en eikenhouten rijping. De eerste slok onthult een gemiddelde body, een heldere zuurgraad en een levendige kern van rode kersen en frambozen, gekruid met gedroogde kruiden, toast en specerijen. De afdronk is lang en schoon met veel frisheid, waardoor dit een geweldige partner is voor wild, geroosterde eend of vleeswaren.
