    La Poja is een verbluffend robijnrood, met een aromatisch boeket van rijp rood fruit, zoete specerijen, zoethout, balsamico en peper. Het is een 100% Corvina Veronese wijn, verbouwd op de top van de La Grola heuvel in het hart van Valpolicella.

    De familie Allegrini is nauw verbonden met de geschiedenis van de Valpolicella wijn en maakt al sinds de 16e eeuw wijn in de regio. De oorsprong van deze wijn, La Grola Hill, werd in 1979 aangeplant door Giovanni Allegrini, en het familiebedrijf is nu in de veilige handen van Giovanni's zoon Franco, dochter Marilisa en nicht Silvia.

    Deze Corvina Veronese wijn is nobel, verfijnd en een wereld op zich. De druiven bleven aan de wijnstok tot ze overrijp waren, waardoor diepe, rijpe smaken het algehele frisse karakter van de wijn versterken. De wijn is perfect in balans, met fluweelzachte tannines en een reservoir aan rokerige, kruidige tonen, met kruiden die bijna medicinaal zijn. De druiven rijpten 20 maanden in Allier vaten, gevolgd door 8 maanden in Slavonisch eiken, en werden afgesloten met 10 maanden in de fles. De afdronk blijft hangen op de tong. Overweeg om La Poja te combineren met verfijnde pastagerechten of gerechten met rood vlees in een tomatensaus.
