Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Het Barbale wijnhuis, opgericht in 2016, wordt geleid door wijnmaker Berdia Berishvili die unieke jaargangen produceert met oude traditionele Georgische methoden. De wijngaarden liggen in de regio's Kartli en Kakheti, beroemd om hun wijngeschiedenis. Het bedrijf cultiveert inheemse en zeldzame wijnstokken met unieke kenmerken om 'uitzonderlijke oogst' biologische wijnen te produceren.

    De drie belangrijkste inheemse witte druivenrassen van Kakheti, Kisi (70%), Rkatsiteli (10%), en Mtsvane (20%) komen samen in deze speciale blend om een typische Kakheti oranje wijn te creëren, geproduceerd met de traditionele Qvevri methode die bestaat uit lange fermentatie, maceratie, en daaropvolgende rijping van de wijn in ondergrondse terracotta potten.

    De Barbale Kisi Mtsvane Rkatsiteli toont het typische karakter van sinaasappelwijn met een mooie amberkleur en een evenwichtige tannine-zuur structuur. De neus is verwend met delicate aroma's van appels, peren en pruimen. Het gehemelte is levendig, helder en licht warm. Een lichte, fijne kruidigheid begeleidt elke slok, die doet denken aan gember, sinaasappelschil en honing. Dit is de perfecte wijn voor alle visgerechten en voor rijke vegetarische taarten. Hij is nu klaar, maar kan ook een paar jaar langer in de kelder blijven.
