Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Ontstaan in 2004 door de broers Josh en Jake Beckett, werd Chronic Cellars geboren uit een visie om "chronisch" of fruit van uitzonderlijke kwaliteit om te zetten in memorabele en heerlijke wijnen. Het duo groeide op in de beroemde wijnstreek Paso Robles in Californië en leerde hoe ze vaten moesten afwassen en wijn moesten bottelen terwijl ze meehielpen in de wijnmakerij van de familie. Deze vormende ervaringen zorgden voor een passie voor wijnmaken die hen inspireerde om hun eigen label te creëren.

    Bij Chronic Cellars is de drijvende filosofie het gebruik van het allerbeste waar mogelijk. Dankzij hun nauwe lokale banden in Paso Robles hebben ze toegang tot de beste druiven, die zorgvuldig worden gesorteerd en geselecteerd door wijnmaker Josh en verwerkt tot grote, sappige blends. De opvallende etiketten zijn ook het resultaat van een lokale samenwerking tussen de broers en een oude vriend die het opvallende kunstwerk op de flessen maakt.

    Sofa King Bueno is de pittige Rhône-stijl blend van de broers, gemaakt van Syrah, Petite Sirah, Grenache, Mourvedre, en een beetje Tannat. Krachtige cassis, rode bessen en donkere pruimen bepalen de neus, samen met hints van leer, donkere chocolade en karamel. Er is een gulle, volle body, soepele tannines en een lange afdronk met heerlijke donkere bessentonen die in de mond blijven hangen.
