Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Diep robijnrood van kleur, deze Bordeaux blend van Cabernet Sauvignon (82%), Petit Verdot (11%), Malbec (4%), Merlot (2%), en Cabernet Franc (1%) levert een fantastische wijn van de hoogste kwaliteit. De neus biedt zwarte bessen, rode bessen, munt, zoethout, tabak en boterachtige vanilletonen. Het gehemelte toont een groot aantal complexe lagen in de wijn en smaken van rijp zwart fruit, rode kersen, chocolade en koffie. Het eikenhout overheerst, maar door het volle karakter van de wijn zijn de hoge gehaltes mooi geïntegreerd met het zuur en de alcohol, wat voor een geweldige balans zorgt. De afdronk is lang met geconcentreerde tonen van kruiden en vanille.

    Goede bijpassende gerechten zijn rundvlees, lam, wild, wild, sterke kaas.

    De Joseph Phelps Winery doet er alles aan om het fruit in perfecte conditie te houden, inclusief oogsten met de hand voor zonsopgang, sorteren met de hand, voorzichtig persen en lange, langzame fermentaties.
