    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Cullen Wines werd opgericht in 1971 door Kevin en Diana Cullen, die worden beschouwd als pioniers in de Margaret River regio. Het echtpaar was de eerste die Cabernet Sauvignon introduceerde in Wilyabrup en onder hun dochter, Vanya, is het landgoed tot bloei gekomen en heeft het biodynamische landbouwpraktijken omarmd om de kwaliteit van hun druiven te maximaliseren. Een bewijs van de kwaliteit van hun wijnen is het feit dat Vanya in 2019 door zowel de Australian Women in Wine Awards als de Halliday Wine Companion Awards werd uitgeroepen tot "Winemaker of the Year".

    Deze weelderige Cabernet Sauvignon en Merlot blend is afkomstig van de Cullen en Mangan wijngaarden van het landgoed, die beschikken over oude wijnstokken en heerlijk geconcentreerd fruit produceren. De most wordt vergist met wilde gisten en de jonge wijn rijpt een jaar in Frans eikenhout.

    Op de neus zijn er robuuste cassis, bramen en donkere kersen, samen met hints van gebakken aarde, gedroogde kruiden en toast van het eikenhout. In de mond is er een royale volle body, delicate zuurgraad en fijnkorrelige tannines. Ideaal om te serveren bij stevige kalfs-, lams- of rundvleesgerechten, hoewel hij ook nog ongeveer zes jaar in de kelder kan worden bewaard.
