    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Deze prachtige rode Bordeaux-stijl toont de intensiteit en complexiteit van Californische Cabernet Sauvignon wanneer deze wordt verbouwd in een uitzonderlijk terroir. In de neus zijn er rijke tonen van grafiet, cacao en geplette zwarte bessen en donkere kersen. De eerste slok onthult een royale volle body, stevige structuur en rijpe donkere bessen smaken die lang op de tong blijven hangen.

    Ontstaan door de broers Georges en Daniel Daou, is DAOU het resultaat van een lange zoektocht naar de perfecte locatie in de Napa Valley om een ambitieuze nieuwe wijnmakerij te beginnen. Het duo zocht hoog en laag naar het ideale terroir om hun project in de Napa Vallei op te zetten, voordat ze uiteindelijk dit landgoed in Paso Robles vonden, met de gewaardeerde bodemgesteldheid en het klimaat dat ze zochten.

    Omschreven als "een juweel van ecologische elementen" door de legendarische Californische wijnmaker André Tchelistcheff, ligt het 212 hectare grote landgoed in het Adelaida District van Paso Robles. Dit gebied biedt een unieke combinatie van Napa-achtige klimatologische omstandigheden en kalksteenrijke bodems, vergelijkbaar met die van veel Franse topwijngaarden. Deze uitzonderlijke omstandigheden stellen de gebroeders Daou in staat prachtige Bordeaux-blends te creëren die elegantie uit de oude wereld combineren met een vleugje levendigheid en innovatie uit de nieuwe wereld.
