Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Deze weelderige Napa Cabernet opent met verleidelijke tonen van koffie, leer en geplette wilde bramen. De eerste slok onthult een royale volle body, stevige tannines en rijke aroma's van donkere kersen, pruimen, pure chocolade en bakkruiden die lang op de tong blijven hangen. Het intense smaakprofiel maakt dit een ideale partner voor stevige gerechten met rood vlees, zoals bourguignon of een fijne steak, maar ook voor gebarbecued vlees.

    Als resultaat van de droom van een vader en een zoon om authentieke Napa-wijnen te maken, werd Girard opgericht in 1975 en heeft zich snel gevestigd als een benchmark voor redelijk geprijsde wijn van goede kwaliteit in de vallei. Door de decennia heen heeft het wijnhuis uitstekende relaties opgebouwd met zijn partnertelers, waardoor het elke oogst topkwaliteit fruit uit de beste appellations van Napa kan betrekken.

    Deze Cabernet is het resultaat van Girard's nauwe samenwerking met hun telers en is gemaakt van druiven van uitstekende percelen in St Helena, Rutherford, Atlas Peak, Yountville en Diamond Mountain. Het wijnhuis voegt een kleine hoeveelheid Merlot, Petit Verdot en Cabernet Franc aan de Cabernet toe om extra complexiteit, een zachte textuur en hartige ondertonen aan de afgewerkte wijn toe te voegen.
