L'Ablarello Bolgheri Superiore bestaat voornamelijk uit Cabernet Sauvignon, die goed gedijt in het mediterrane kustklimaat van de regio. Ook Cabernet Franc en Petit Verdot maken deel uit van de blend, met hoeveelheden die variëren van jaargang tot jaargang. Alle druiven worden biologisch en zo duurzaam mogelijk verbouwd, en na de vinificatie rijpt de jonge wijn 18 maanden in eikenhouten vaten.
De kuststreek Bolgheri in Toscane is nog relatief jong, maar heeft in korte tijd naam gemaakt in de internationale wijnwereld dankzij een reeks fantastische lokale wijnen, waaronder de wereldberoemde Sassicaia. L’Ablarello Bolgheri Superiore bestaat voornamelijk uit Cabernet Sauvignon, een druivensoort die goed gedijt in het mediterrane kustklimaat van de regio. Dit is een weelderige en intense rode wijn met volop rijpe cassis, donkere pruimen en subtiele kruidige tonen. De eerste slok onthult een volle body, stevige tannines en rijke smaken van donkere bessen, samen met hints van rook, munt en zoete tabak. Hoewel de wijn nu al toegankelijk is in combinatie met stevige gerechten met rood vlees, is dit een ideale wijn om de komende 10 jaar of zo in de kelder te bewaren.
