    Vermentino is een heldere en luchtige Italiaanse witte wijn met een zonnig mediterraan karakter vergezeld van tongstrelende frisheid en rijpe steenfruit smaken. Deze versie komt uit Toscane's Bolgheri regio langs de kust, waar koele wind van de zee en warme zomerdagen de druiven helpen een perfecte rijpheid te bereiken met behoud van een ruime zuurgraad.

    De helft van de jonge wijn wordt gerijpt in roestvrijstalen tanks, terwijl de andere helft 8 maanden rijpt in eikenhouten vaten om extra complexiteit en een romige textuur aan de afgewerkte wijn toe te voegen. In de neus zijn er delicate hints van aromatische kruiden, pittige citrus en zilte tonen die doen denken aan de nabijgelegen zee. De eerste slok onthult een pittige zuurgraad, gemiddelde body en zuivere, schone afdronk, waardoor dit een geweldige keuze is als aperitief of bij verse zeevruchten, salades, sushi of visgerechten.

    De producent van deze heerlijke witte wijn is Grattamacco, een klein landgoed gelegen op de top van een heuvel met uitzicht op de zee. Het terrein van 12 hectare werd in 1977 gekocht door Claudio Tipa, die ook eigenaar is van ColleMassari in het zuiden van Toscane. Grattamacco is gezegend met een uitzonderlijk microklimaat voor de druiventeelt en alle teelt op het landgoed gebeurt biologisch en duurzaam om de best mogelijke kwaliteit fruit te produceren.
