Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Diep robijnrood in het glas, deze door cabernet sauvignon gedomineerde blend barst van de geuren van zwarte pruimen, zwarte bessen, verse bosbessentaart en vanille. Hij is vanaf het begin benaderbaar, maar kan ook enige tijd in de kelder bewaard worden. Het fruit is afkomstig uit Sonoma en Mendocino County, in de noordelijke helft van Californië.

    De Kendall-Jacksons zijn een van Amerika's grootste en meest gerenommeerde wijnmakersfamilies. Hun verhaal begon in de jaren 1970 toen de pionier Jess Jackson zijn eerste wijngaard kocht en de familiewijnmakerij oprichtte. Tegenwoordig wordt het gerund door zijn vrouw, Barbara Banke, die de rol van voorzitter en eigenaar vervult. Hun Bordeaux-geïnspireerde blend is een pittoresk voorbeeld van Californische rode wijn, barstensvol rijp fruit en ontembaar karakter.

    Naast 93% Cabernet Sauvignon bevat Vintner's Reserve ook spatten Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot en Malbec, die respectievelijk tannines, een weelderig mondgevoel en rondheid toevoegen. Het omhult de tong met dikke tannines en smaken van pruimenjam, cassis en specerijen. Deze rijpe smaken worden gedragen door een sappige, reinigende zuurgraad. Het is een perfecte wijn om te combineren met steak, gebarbecued vlees of stevige geroosterde groenten.
