Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Drink hem nu of bewaar hem tot 25 jaar in een kelder. Het wordt aanbevolen om de wijn een half uur te decanteren.

    Klet Brda, opgericht in 1957, is het belangrijkste coöperatieve wijnhuis in de Sloveense regio Goriška Brda. Net als in de Collio Goriziano van Friuli Venezia Giulia profiteert de wijnstok hier van een bijzonder gunstig microklimaat en een bodem van zandsteen en kalkhoudende mergel, rijk aan minerale stoffen.

    De wijn wordt alleen in de beste jaren geproduceerd en is een blend van Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon en Cabernet Franc. De Merlot druiven komen van wijngaarden op mergel- en leemgrond in de dorpen Kozana en Cerovo. Cabernet Sauvignon wordt geselecteerd uit wijngaarden die tussen 100 en 250 meter boven zeeniveau liggen, in Medana en Višnjevik. De Cabernet Franc komt van wijngaarden op mergel-, zandsteen- en slibbodems in Medana, Dobrovo en Kozana. De druiven worden apart geoogst en verwerkt. De afgewerkte wijnen rijpen vervolgens apart gedurende 24 maanden en worden uiteindelijk gemengd. Het mengsel wordt vervolgens gerijpt in vaten.

    De Klet Brda A Plus Red presenteert zich met een donkere robijnrode kleur. Het aromatische profiel is breed en geurig met tonen van rijp rood fruit en jam en vervolgens mediterrane kruiden, munt en specerijen. In de mond is de wijn vol en rond, goed gestructureerd en geconcentreerd. De afdronk is lang en doet denken aan zoete tonen van vanille en chocolade. Perfect bij varkenslende, pulled pork of wildvlees.
