    De Sloveense coöperatie Klet Brda, die bestaat uit ongeveer 400 lokale wijnbouwersfamilies, werd eind jaren 1950 opgericht en is gevestigd in het Dobrovo kasteel, in het hart van het Goriška Brda wijngebied. In dit gebied, dat bijzonder geschikt is voor de teelt van witte druiven, genieten de wijngaarden van uiterst gunstige bodem- en klimaatomstandigheden, met een uitstekende ligging in de heuvels, een mild klimaat en mineraalrijke bodems.

    De Cabernet Sauvignon druiven komen van terraswijngaarden, tussen de 10 en 30 jaar oud, op bodems die bestaan uit lagen zandsteen en klei. De oogst is handmatig en de wijn rijpt 24 maanden in een mengsel van Franse barriques en grote vaten voordat hij wordt gemengd.

    De Klet Brda Bagueri Cabernet Sauvignon heeft een intense en diepe kleur met donkere robijnrode tinten en violette reflecties. In de neus onthult de wijn een fruitig bouquet met geurige tonen van rijpe pruimen en bosbessen, hints van cacao en vanille. In de mond is hij vol en geconcentreerd met fluweelzachte tannines. De afdronk is lang en evenwichtig met enkele plantaardige hints. Probeer hem eens bij een sappige steak, bij pasta met wildragout of bij gevulde paprika's.
