Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Deze pittige Gavi opent met verfrissende tonen van citrus, perzik en steenachtige mineraliteit, terwijl de eerste slok een watertandende zuurgraad, lichte body en zuivere, schone afdronk onthult. De most wordt gefermenteerd in roestvrijstalen tanks om het levendige natuurlijke karakter van de Cortese druif te behouden en een lichte en elegante wijn te produceren. Het heldere smaakprofiel maakt dit een geweldige keuze om van te genieten als aperitief of bij zeevruchten, vis of pastagerechten op basis van tomaten, evenals vleeswaren en kazen.

    De druiven voor deze heerlijke witte wijn worden biologisch-dynamisch geteeld zonder herbiciden of pesticiden op het Ravi landgoed, gelegen in het hart van de glooiende heuvels van Gavi. Het landgoed werd in 2003 gekocht door de familie Rossi Cairo, die hard heeft gewerkt om de biodiversiteit te herstellen en het lokale ecosysteem te koesteren.

    Het landgoed probeert waar mogelijk te werken in harmonie met Moeder Natuur en is sinds 2007 Demeter-gecertificeerd. Ze streven ernaar de beste kwaliteit druiven te produceren, waardoor ze topkwaliteit wijnen kunnen maken van inheemse lokale druivensoorten. Het wijnmaken op het landgoed staat onder toezicht van Piero Ballario, die advies geeft aan vele uitstekende kleine Italiaanse wijnhuizen in de Langhe en daarbuiten.
