Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Man O'War winery ligt in een prachtige omgeving op het Nieuw-Zeelandse eiland Waiheke, met zo'n 150 hectare wijnstokken, geplant op afgelegen plekken dicht bij de oceaan. Dit creëert unieke omstandigheden voor het maken van wijn met veel natuurlijke frisheid en aroma's in met name hun witte wijnen.

    Deze frisse Sauvignon Blanc is zorgvuldig geselecteerd uit wijnstokken met een lage opbrengst, geplant op heuveltoppen die worden omringd door basaltkeien van een oude vulkaanuitbarsting. De vulkanische bodem, de regelmatige zeebries en de hoogte bieden samen ideale groeiplaatsen voor deze Sauvignon Blanc. Alle druiven worden met de hand geoogst en voorzichtig geperst voordat ze vroeg in het voorjaar worden vergist en gebotteld om ervoor te zorgen dat de wijn zo fris en fris mogelijk is.

    Liefhebbers van Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc zullen deze charmante wijn verrukken met elegante tonen van grapefruit, verse kruiden en gemalen kruisbessen. De eerste slok onthult een levendige zuurgraad in evenwicht met een rijke, zachte textuur en aanhoudende citrustonen op de zuivere en schone afdronk. Het is een geweldige wijn om van te genieten als verfrissend aperitief of om te combineren met gegrilde vis, sushi of verse zeevruchten zoals oesters.
