Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Drink hem nu of bewaar hem een paar jaar in een kelder. Decanteren is niet nodig, maar u kunt hem het beste een half uur voor het serveren openen.

    Gesticht door Ross en Barbara Lawson in 1992 was Lawson's Dry Hills een van de eerste wijnmakerijen in de Marlborough wijnregio van Nieuw-Zeeland, en is alom bekend voor het maken van heerlijke Sauvignon Blancs met een uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding en een fantastische Gewürztraminer van wijnstokken die bijna 40 jaar oud zijn. Het bedrijf produceert ook een interessant Reserve-assortiment dat een Sauvignon Blanc met lichte eikenhouten invloeden, een Chardonnay en een Pinot Noir omvat.

    De Sauvignon Blanc druiven voor deze wijn worden voorzichtig geperst en vervolgens koud gefermenteerd in roestvrij staal om de volledige aromatische expressie van deze druivensoort te garanderen en de levendigheid en frisheid te behouden.

    Sauvignon Blanc Mount Vernon heeft een intens en boeiend aromatisch profiel met tonen van vers en exotisch fruit (groene appel, perzik, ananas en passievrucht) en enkele delicate bloemengeuren. Hij is fris en makkelijk drinkbaar, licht en heeft een duidelijke zuurgraad. De afdronk is aangenaam en knisperend en herinnert aan fruitige tonen. Het is een wijn om jong te drinken, vooral in combinatie met zeevruchten, salades, gerechten op basis van asperges en vegetarische taarten. Open hem een beetje voor het serveren om hem te laten ademen en zijn aromatische potentieel volledig tot uiting te laten komen.
