    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Drink hem nu of bewaar hem tot 10 jaar in een kelder. Het wordt aanbevolen om het een half uur te decanteren.

    Gelegen in het hart van Ribera del Duero, werd Pago de los Capellanes opgericht door Paco Rodero en zijn vrouw Conchi Villa. In de 70 hectare wijngaarden die de kelder omringen, verbouwen ze de lokale inheemse Tempranillo of Tinto Fino druif, en kleine hoeveelheden Cabernet Sauvignon en Merlot. Het land heeft hier een lage productiviteit en de resulterende wijnen zijn zeer geconcentreerd. De wijnen van het bedrijf worden geraffineerd in een ondergrondse kelder van 10 meter diep.

    De Tempranillo druiven worden geselecteerd uit wijngaarden met een gemiddelde leeftijd van 35 jaar, geplant op klei-kalksteen, steenachtige bodems, arm aan organische stof en met een zeer lage vruchtbaarheid, en gelegen in de gemeenten Pedrosa de Duero, Anguix en Roa. Na de vinificatie rust de wijn 12 maanden in 300-liter Franse eiken vaten, voordat hij gebotteld wordt.

    Pago de los Capellanes Crianza is een jonge en evenwichtige rode wijn. Het aromaprofiel onthult tonen van rood fruit zoals kersen en frambozen en wat licht kruidige hints. In de mond is hij levendig en fris, fruitig en schoon. De afdronk is aangenaam en aanhoudend. Hij gaat heel goed samen met aubergine parmigiana en gegrilde varkensfilet.
