Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Palliser Estate bezit ongeveer 85 hectare eersteklas wijngaarden in Martinborough die zij gebruiken om enkele van de beste Sauvignon Blancs van de regio te maken. Hoewel de eerste druiven pas in 1989 werden geoogst, heeft chef-wijnmaker Allan Johnson meer dan 80 gouden medailles gewonnen voor zijn wijnen sinds hij in 1991 bij Palliser kwam werken. Vandaag de dag is het landgoed bezig al zijn wijngaarden om te schakelen naar biologisch beheer en het invoeren van baanbrekende duurzame praktijken om ervoor te zorgen dat Palliser bekroonde wijnen blijft maken voor de komende generaties.

    Om het pure raskarakter van Martinborough Sauvignon Blanc tot uitdrukking te brengen, vergist Allan Johnson de wijn in roestvrijstalen tanks en rijpt deze vervolgens zes maanden op de droesem. Dit zorgt voor een levendige, fruitige Sauvignon Blanc die in de neus limoenschil, passievrucht en witte perzik uitstraalt. Deze intense aroma's komen door in de mond, samen met hints van gedroogde kruiden en een vuursteenachtig mineraal karakter.

    Vanaf de eerste slok is er ook een tintelende zuurgraad die helpt om uw dorst te lessen op zelfs de heetste dagen en de lagen van geconcentreerde smaken blijven lang hangen op de tong. De heldere frisheid maakt deze Sauvignon Blanc een uitstekende match voor gerechten die een uitdaging kunnen zijn om te combineren met wijn, zoals Thaise rode curry, ceviche of Vietnamese pho.
