Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Paul Perez is een wereldberoemde wijnmaker en producent, bekend onder de bijnaam "Picasso van de Spaanse wijn". Zijn productie strekt zich uit van Bierzo tot de Rias Baixas, via Ribeira Sacra en Monterrei, en omvat meer dan 30 van zijn eigen wijnen en verschillende samenwerkingen met andere beroemde wijnhuizen zoals Castro Ventosa en Estefania Tilenus. Perez concentreert zich op enkele van de meest interessante Spaanse druivensoorten, zoals Mencía, Godello en Albariño, en volgt aandachtig al het werk dat in de wijngaard wordt gedaan om zijn uitstekende wijnen te maken.

    Las Gundinas is een rode wijn gemaakt van 100% Mencia druiven, geselecteerd en geoogst van een wijngaard op een bijzonder steile helling op het westen. De druiven gisten op hout met een maceratie van ongeveer 50 dagen. De afgewerkte wijn rijpt vervolgens op hout.

    De wijn heeft een heldere kleur met robijnrode tinten. Het aromatische profiel is fruitig en elegant met tonen van wilde bessen en rijpe pruimen. In de mond onthult hij een uitstekende concentratie fruit. Hij is sappig en intens met zachte en goed geïntegreerde tannines. Het is een elegante, volle en evenwichtige wijn die zeer goed past bij gerechten met rood vlees, lamsvlees en oude kazen.
