    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Sheridan Vineyard werd eind jaren '90 opgericht in de staat Washington door Scott Greer, die het nog steeds runt. Het bedrijf, dat nu een oppervlakte heeft van ongeveer 100 hectare, produceert beperkte hoeveelheden uitzonderlijke wijnen op basis van Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot en Cabernet Franc, waarbij duurzame praktijken worden gevolgd en de opbrengsten laag worden gehouden.

    Sheridan Vineyard Boss Block wordt geproduceerd van Cabernet Franc druiven gevinifieerd in zuiverheid en afkomstig van de wijngaarden van de Yakima Valley van Washington. Met 25 maanden rijping in 50% nieuwe en 50% gebruikte barriques, weerspiegelt deze wijn, consistent en voluptueus, de beste kenmerken van het ras, terwijl hij zo toegankelijk is.

    In het glas heeft hij een intense robijnrode kleur en violette reflecties. De neus onthult een interessante zoetheid met intense aroma's van zwart fruit (kersen, pruimen, bramen en bosbessen), viooltjes en gedroogde bloemen, witte peper en kaneel, aromatische kruiden, thee en hints van vers gemalen koffie. In de mond is hij zacht en begiftigd met een buitengewoon evenwicht tussen zuurgraad en tannines. Hij is vol en rijk, voluptueus en evenwichtig. De afdronk is lang en geconcentreerd.

    Het is een must-try met geroosterde portobello champignons of varkenshaas.
