    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Bodega Tapiz is een Argentijns wijnhuis gevestigd in Tupungato, in de regio Mendoza, en sinds 2003 eigendom van Dr. Patrícia Ortiz. De wijnen worden gemaakt door een oenologisch team onder leiding van Fabian Valenzuela, met advies van Jean Claude Berrouet, al meer dan 40 jaar hoofd wijnmaker van Chateau Petrus.

    De wijn is een blend van Merlot, met toevoegingen van Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon en Petit Verdot. De druiven komen van de San Pablo wijngaard, gelegen op een hoogte van 1350 meter boven zeeniveau in de Uco Vallei, in het wijngebied Mendoza. De nabijheid van de Andes en de hoogte garanderen hier lage nachttemperaturen die resulteren in wijnen met een grote aromatische intensiteit, met een diepe kleur en een uitstekende structuur, die lang kunnen rijpen. De wijn rijpt 11 maanden in Franse eikenhouten vaten.

    Tapiz Las Notas de Jean Claude is een wijn van grote intensiteit en rijkdom die het potentieel van zijn land van herkomst volledig tot uitdrukking brengt. Het aromatische profiel is complex met tonen van vers rood fruit, frambozen, cassis en truffels, vergezeld van delicate kruidige nuances. Ten slotte voegt de rijping op eikenhout tonen van koffie en chocolade toe. In de mond is de wijn krachtig, maar tegelijkertijd evenwichtig en elegant met zachte tannines. De afdronk is lang en aangenaam intens. Probeer hem bij gegrild vlees, vooral rundvlees, en lamsvlees.
