Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Deze amberkleurige Rkatsiteli wijn begint met een aromatisch boeket van witte bloemen, tropisch fruit, kweepeer en ander fruit uit de boomgaard. Hij is gemaakt volgens de traditionele Georgische qvevri-methode, met druiven van 18 jaar oude wijnstokken in de majestueuze regio Kakheti. Er zijn ook lichte tonen van klei en bijenwas waarneembaar, afkomstig van de klei van de qvevri potten.

    Tbilvino is een van de grootste en belangrijkste wijnmakerijen in Georgië en produceert 29 soorten wijn en 3 soorten Georgische brandewijn. Hun "Qvevris Rkatsiteli" is een uitstekende plek om te beginnen met het ontdekken van amberwijn. Ondanks de immense populariteit van het wijnhuis is het pas in 2014 begonnen met het verbouwen van wijngaarden en haalt het nu fruit van meer dan 400 hectare land, verspreid over enkele van de beroemdste appellations van Georgië.

    De smaak is elegant en intens, vol met complexe smaken van perzik, abrikoos en kweepeer, vermengd met achtergrondnoten van boekweithoning en walnoot. Hij bevat kleine hoeveelheden levendige zuren en is ongelooflijk makkelijk te drinken. Lichte hints van tannine verschijnen op het voorste gehemelte en doen denken aan een sterk gebrouwen kopje Earl Grey thee. De afdronk is lang en verfrissend, met een interessant mineraal randje.
