    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    De meeste Georgische wijnmakers leren wijn maken van hun vaders en grootvaders. De geschiedenis van het Tchotiashvili wijnhuis is niet anders, met zijn lange familietraditie. Nu wordt de productie gevolgd door Kakha Tchotiashvili en zijn wijnen zijn vele malen bekroond. De wijngaarden liggen in het Kakheti wijngebied op ongeveer 500 meter boven zeeniveau, op bodems die rijk zijn aan humus en carbonaat.

    Sinds de eerste fles Kisi wijn in 2006 commercieel verkrijgbaar werd (voor die tijd werd de druif beschouwd als een vergeten ras), zijn veel wijnmakers weer wijn gaan maken met deze prachtige druif. De wijn wordt geproduceerd met 100% Kisi druiven van 20 jaar oude wijnstokken. Maceratie vindt plaats in traditionele Qvevri gedurende 7 en een halve maand.

    Tchotiashvili Kisi is een amberkleurige wijn met een warme kleur. De neus toont de gebruikelijke aroma's van Kisi druiven zoals perzik, zwarte thee, sinaasappelschil, wilde bloemen en zoete specerijen. In de mond komen deze aroma's terug met een vleugje honing. De wijn is zacht en harmonieus met een licht hoge zuurgraad, sterke tannines en krachtige fruittonen op de afdronk. Hij is absoluut heerlijk en eetvriendelijk. Zoals alle oranje wijnen gaat hij goed samen met geitenkaas, wit vlees met saus, noten of zelfs sushi. Maar de wijn past ook bij gerookte makreel of paling. Geniet er licht gekoeld van.
