Een onvergetelijke verjaardag met DAOU & Colomé Het vieren van mijn moeders verjaardag werd nog specialer dankzij twee ongelooflijke wijnen - DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 en Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. De ster van de avond was ongetwijfeld de DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Vanaf de eerste slok werden we omarmd door een rijke, fluweelzachte smaak. De diepe aroma's van donker fruit, hints van cacao en perfect gebalanceerd eikenhout zorgden ervoor dat elk glas aanvoelde als een ware verwennerij. Hij was gedurfd en toch elegant, een wijn die moeiteloos warmte en vreugde bracht aan onze bijeenkomst. Toen ik mijn moeder elke slok met een glimlach zag proeven, was het des te gedenkwaardiger. De Colomé Auténtico Malbec leverde ook prachtig, met zijn pure expressie van hooggelegen Malbec. Hij was krachtig, met rijpe bramen, kruiden en een zachte, aanhoudende afdronk - een uitstekende aanvulling op de avond. Deze wijnen versterkten niet alleen onze maaltijd; ze werden een deel van de viering, waardoor elke toast en elk gesprek een hoogtepunt werd. Hartelijk dank aan DAOU en Colomé voor het onvergetelijk maken van deze speciale gelegenheid!

    A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    Tenuta di Trinoro werd in de jaren 1990 opgericht door Andrea Franchetti in Val d'Orcia, in het zuiden van Toscane. Na een periode van onderzoek in Frankrijk, specifiek in de Bordeaux regio, besloot Franchetti de internationale wijnstokken Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon en Petit Verdot in Val d'Orcia aan te planten om zijn eigen wijnen te maken. Het bedrijf, gevestigd in Sarteano, bezit vandaag de dag 200 hectare land, waarvan 22 hectare onder wijngaarden. Hier produceert Tenuta di Trinoro prestigieuze wijnen met een groot rijpingspotentieel die door critici en consumenten worden geprezen.

    Tenuta di Trinoro is een Super-Tuscan die in beperkte hoeveelheden wordt geproduceerd met Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon en Petit Verdot druiven, die met de hand worden verbouwd en geoogst in de wijngaarden van het bedrijf die de kelder omringen. De afgewerkte wijn rust ongeveer 8 maanden in Franse eiken barriques en nog eens 11 maanden in betonnen vaten.

    De wijn heeft een levendige kleur met robijnrode tinten. Het aromaprofiel is verleidelijk met tonen van rijp donker fruit en (bosbes, cassis, pruim) hints van peper en mediterrane kruiden. In de mond is hij evenwichtig, zacht en rond, krachtig en elegant. Hij heeft stevige, goed geïntegreerde tannines en een lange, frisse afdronk die doet denken aan delicate fruittonen. Perfect bij rundvleesfilet in champignonsaus of met truffels.

    Tenuta di Trinoro is a Super-Tuscan produced in limited quantities with Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot grapes, grown and harvested by hand in the company vineyards surrounding the cellar. The wine has a lively color with ruby-red tones. Its aromatic profile is seductive with notes of ripe dark fruit and (blueberry, cassis, plum) hints of pepper and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is well-balanced, soft and round, powerful and elegant. It has firm, well-integrated tannins and a long, fresh finish that recalls delicate fruity notes
