    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Drink hem nu of bewaar hem tot 10 jaar. Niet nodig om te decanteren, maar het wordt aanbevolen om hem een half uur voor het serveren te openen.

    De familie van de oenoloog Apostolos Thymiopoulo is al generaties lang actief in de wijnsector. Maar, zoals gebruikelijk in de Macedonische regio, werden de druiven niet gevinifieerd door de wijnmakers, maar verkocht. Toen Apostolos Thymiopoulo het bedrijf in 2033 overnam, veranderde hij de boerderij in een domein, waar hij zijn eigen wijnen produceerde. Op de 23 hectare van het domein wordt slechts één rode druivensoort verbouwd: Xinomavro. Bovendien worden de druiven sinds de komst van Apostolos biologisch geteeld en is de interventie in de kelder minimaal.

    Aftorizo is een single vineyard wijn die wordt gemaakt van oude planten in het Fytia gebergte, in het zuidelijke deel van Naoussa. Hier is de bodem een combinatie van leisteen en graniet en geeft de wijn een kenmerkende minerale ruggengraat.

    De neus toont een breed bloemenboeket van roos en viooltjes, samen met fruitige en minerale tonen. In de mond zorgen de kwaliteit van de tannines en de grote frisheid voor een elegante wijn met oneindige aroma's en afdronk. U kunt er nu van genieten, maar hij zal nog beter smaken naarmate hij ouder wordt. Hij past goed bij gestoofd rundvlees, maar ook bij een tomaten- of champignonsalade of gevulde portobello's.
