Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Opgericht door David Clouston, is Two Rivers een jong wijnhuis in de Marlborough wijnregio van Nieuw-Zeeland, genoemd naar de Wairau en Awatere rivieren, die een sleutelrol spelen in het gebied. Het bedrijf produceert innovatieve en zeer succesvolle wijnen, dankzij het grote talent van de oprichter en wijnmaker David, die na jaren van onderzoek en werk in Europa en Amerika besloot terug te keren naar zijn geboorteland om de familietraditie van boeren voort te zetten en wijnen van hoge kwaliteit te creëren van de uitzonderlijke terroirs van Marlborough.

    De biologisch geteelde Pinot Noir druiven komen van de hellingen van de Brookby Hill wijngaard in Zuid-Marlborough op löss- en kleigrond. Na de handmatige oogst vindt spontane gisting plaats en rijpt de afgewerkte wijn 11 maanden in grote Franse eiken vaten.

    De Tributary Pinot Noir onthult een intens en fruitig aromatisch profiel met heerlijke tonen van klein rood fruit, pruimen en kersen, hints van bosgrond en tabak. In de mond heeft hij een gemiddelde body en een goed uitgebalanceerde zuurgraad. Hij is geconcentreerd en diep met fluweelzachte tannines en een fruitige afdronk. Probeer hem bij eend of lam.
