Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Adulation is een van de merken in het brede portfolio van Fior di Sole, een familiebedrijf dat gevestigd is in het hart van de Californische Napa Valley. Het bedrijf, een van de grootste in Californië, produceert wijnen in verschillende prijsklassen. Het merk Adulation staat algemeen bekend om het produceren van wijnen met een grote waarde.

    De druiven worden met de hand geselecteerd en geoogst. De wijngaarden, geplant op stevige grond met slib en klei, genieten van de warme Californische zon en een gematigd klimaat dat de perfecte rijping van de Zinfandel garandeert. Na de gisting wordt de wijn enkele maanden gerijpt in Amerikaans eikenhout. Dit maakt de wijn meer gestructureerd en voegt wat kruidige tonen toe.

    Adulation Zinfandel is een krachtige wijn met een donkere robijnrode kleur en violette reflecties. Het aromaprofiel is intens en complex met een sterke concentratie van zwart fruit, pruimen, bramen en kersen, gevolgd door kruiden, donkere chocolade, tabak en leer. In de mond is hij diep en robuust met een aangenaam fruitig accent. Het is een evenwichtige wijn: hij vertoont een verfrissende zuurgraad en fluweelzachte tannines. De afdronk is lang en soepel en herinnert aan fruitige tonen. Hij gaat goed samen met rood vlees of wild en is de perfecte wijn bij hertenvlees in chocoladesaus.
