Although a good variety of wines, i ordered a 2016 Saint emillion and i received a 2017 one from the same chateau. It was wrong information on the stock availability on the website. I contacted them and they accepted to correct the mistake and offerrede alternatives of different wines or refund and picking up the wonrgly delivered bottle. As a first experience it was not one of the most positive but again these things can happen

Amarone Wijnen

De beroemde Amarone della Valpolicella rode wijnen worden geproduceerd in de glooiende heuvels van het Valpolicella gebied van de inheemse Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella en Molinara druiven. Deze rassen worden samengevoegd tot een zeer krachtige rode wijn met gematigde tannines en een hoog alcoholgehalte. Typische Amarone smaken en aroma's zijn kersenlikeur, gedroogde vijgen, rozijnen, pure chocolade en hints van grafiet.

Hoe Amarone wordt gemaakt

Amarone wijnen moeten worden gemaakt volgens de traditionele appassimento methode waarbij de druiven gedurende de winter uitdrogen en rozijnen worden voordat ze worden vergist. Hierdoor worden de smaken en de suikers in de druiven geconcentreerd. De wijn moet vervolgens twee jaar rijpen voordat hij kan worden gebotteld.

Amarone Food Pairings

Dankzij dit complexe vinificatieproces zijn Amarone wijnen krachtig en intens met veel weelderige donkere fruitsmaken. Veel wijnen kunnen tientallen jaren rijpen, maar als u besluit een jonge Amarone te drinken, probeer hem dan te combineren met stevige gerechten zoals wild zwijn, hert, winterse stoofpotten, steaks of gestoofde ribbetjes. Het rijpe, fruitige karakter van de Amarone past ook goed bij coq au vin, oude harde kazen en pure chocolade.
