    De gebroeders Auvigue zijn de derde generatie van dit familiebedrijf waarvan de wijngaarden liggen op de kalkrijke bodems rond de Roche de Solutré. In totaal 14 verschillende wijnen worden door de familie Auvigue gebotteld en in eigen beheer op de markt gebracht. Vandaag gaat het verhaal verder met de komst eind 2015 van Sylvain Brenas, kleinzoon van Jean-Pierre en Michel, die zich inzet om de stijl en geest van het huis te behouden.

    De 100% Chardonnay druiven komen uit het dorp Solutré-Pouilly op kleiachtige kalksteen bodem uit het Krijt. De oogst is handmatig en de alcoholische en malolactische gisting vindt plaats in vaten. De wijnen rijpen vervolgens op fijne droesem in vaten tot de uiteindelijke assemblage, een maand voor het bottelen.

    De Pouilly-Fuisse Hors Classe wordt alleen geproduceerd in de allerbeste jaren en in beperkte hoeveelheden. In het glas heeft hij een gouden kleur, verlevendigd met strogele reflecties. In de neus geeft hij betoverende aroma's af door finesse en elegantie te combineren met zachte tonen van witte bloemen en pioenroos. In de mond is hij breed en diep, met een zilte frisheid die alles verlicht en een aangename fruitrijpheid. Geniet ervan op zichzelf of serveer hem bij vis of wit vlees met witte sausdressing.
