    El Lebrero is een frisse witte wijn, gemaakt in de regio Burgos in Spanje van de inheemse Albillo Mayor druif. Hij begint met zuivere aroma's van groene appel, rijpe peer, witte bloemen en geraspte citroenschil. Hij komt van de rand van het stroomgebied van de Ribera del Duero - een land dat het meest bekend staat om zijn gedurfde rode wijnen, maar deze fles wit kan qua kwaliteit niet onderdoen voor die van anderen.

    Bodegas Felix werd in 1989 opgericht door het wijnmakende echtpaar Félix en Pilar Callejo en is in het moderne tijdperk gebracht door hun vier kinderen, die een schat aan ervaring uit de hele wijnwereld meebrengen. In 2021 werden ze door Master of Wine Tim Atkin gekozen tot wijnmakers van het jaar.

    El Lebrero wijngaard groeit op een mengsel van klei-leem en zand-kalksteengrond, wat de wijn een kalkachtige, minerale afdronk geeft. Bij elke slok vindt u echter ook rijke, pure smaken van boomgaardvruchten, citrus, beboterde toast en een ziltig randje. Het is een uitstekende witte wijn, gemaakt van een zelden gezien druivenras. Voordat El Lebrero op de markt werd gebracht, rijpte hij 8 maanden op droesem in eivormige betonnen vaten. Combineer deze wijn met witte vis, boterachtige schelpdieren of zachte kaas.
