    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Deze Californische Chardonnay is een elegante aangelegenheid, met aroma's van pure citroen en limoen, tropische hints van kiwi en lichte tonen van sinaasappel en basilicum. Het is een blend van drie wijngaarden uit de Santa Rita Hills AVA, die elk detail en kracht toevoegen aan deze ongelooflijke fles.

    Brewer-Clifton is een wijnhuis van Greg Brewer en Steve Clifton, opgericht in 1996. Het legt de nadruk op verfijnde wijnen in Bourgondische stijl, gemaakt van Pinot Noir en Chardonnay in het winderige, door de oceaan beïnvloede terroir van Santa Barbara, Californië. Greg Brewer heeft naam gemaakt in zijn thuisstaat en won in 2020 de Wine Enthusiast's Winemaker of the Year award.

    De Santa Rita Hills Chardonnay toont een scherpe, frisse textuur in de mond, met hints van zeezout, mineraliteit van steenslag en wrange citroenschil. In de mond komen bloemige en kruidige tonen van jasmijn, gember en oranjebloesem naar voren. De wijn werd gerijpt in neutrale vaten, waardoor de kenmerkende terroirs van de Hapgood, 3D en Machado wijngaarden naar voren komen. Het is een witte wijn van topklasse, die het waard is om enige tijd in de kelder te rijpen en te combineren met witte vis, schelpdieren of varkensvlees.
