    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Deze witte wijn barst van de frisse geuren van citroenschil, tropisch fruit, mineraliteit van natte stenen en hints van zout. Het is een complexe veld blend, gemaakt van fruit geplukt van oude wijnstokken in de Douro Vallei regio in het noorden van Portugal. Onder de meer dan 10 druivensoorten die in deze wijn worden gebruikt, zijn Portugese hoofdsoorten zoals Rabigato, Códega en Donzelinho Branco.

    Conceito Winery wordt geleid door de gewaardeerde oenologe Rita Ferreira Marques. Ze is geboren in de Douro, heeft gestudeerd in Vila Real en Bordeaux en heeft gewerkt met wereldberoemde wijnmakers in Californië, Nieuw-Zeeland en Zuid-Afrika voordat ze terugkeerde naar het noorden van Portugal. In de kelder en wijngaarden wordt ze bijgestaan door respectievelijk wijnmaker Manuel Sapage en wijnbouwer Nuno Fernandes.

    In de mond ontdekt u fruitige tonen van appel, peer, groene pruimen en citrusrasp. Deze worden ondersteund door rondere tonen van boter, room en tropisch fruit. De wijn rijpte 11 maanden in eikenhouten vaten, waardoor hij een structurele, houtachtige contour krijgt. Hij heeft een gemiddelde body en een robuuste textuur in de mond, wat wijst op zijn potentieel om te bewaren. Hij past uitstekend bij oesters, alle soorten Portugese zeevruchten of kip.
