Een onvergetelijke verjaardag met DAOU & Colomé Het vieren van mijn moeders verjaardag werd nog specialer dankzij twee ongelooflijke wijnen - DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 en Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. De ster van de avond was ongetwijfeld de DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Vanaf de eerste slok werden we omarmd door een rijke, fluweelzachte smaak. De diepe aroma's van donker fruit, hints van cacao en perfect gebalanceerd eikenhout zorgden ervoor dat elk glas aanvoelde als een ware verwennerij. Hij was gedurfd en toch elegant, een wijn die moeiteloos warmte en vreugde bracht aan onze bijeenkomst. Toen ik mijn moeder elke slok met een glimlach zag proeven, was het des te gedenkwaardiger. De Colomé Auténtico Malbec leverde ook prachtig, met zijn pure expressie van hooggelegen Malbec. Hij was krachtig, met rijpe bramen, kruiden en een zachte, aanhoudende afdronk - een uitstekende aanvulling op de avond. Deze wijnen versterkten niet alleen onze maaltijd; ze werden een deel van de viering, waardoor elke toast en elk gesprek een hoogtepunt werd. Hartelijk dank aan DAOU en Colomé voor het onvergetelijk maken van deze speciale gelegenheid!

    A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    Domaine Antonin Guyon is een biologisch wijnhuis in de Côte de Beaune dat ongeveer 48 hectare wijngaarden bezit waar Pinot Noir de belangrijkste druivensoort is. Hun geschiedenis begon in de jaren 1960 met de aankoop van enkele percelen in de wijngebieden van Gevrey-Chambertin tot Meursault door Antonin Guyon en wordt nu geleid door zijn zoon Dominique met de hulp van Vincent Nicot.

    De Pinot Noir druiven komen van de ongeveer dertig jaar oude wijngaard van ongeveer 85 hectare gelegen in de Corton appellatie op klei- en kalkbodems. De oogst gebeurt handmatig en na een verdere selectie van de trossen in de kelder vindt de gisting plaats in houten vaten bij een gecontroleerde temperatuur. De afgewerkte wijn rust 18 maanden in eikenhouten vaten (waarvan 50% nieuw).

    Corton Bressandes Grand Cru onthult een heldere donkere robijnrode kleur en een breed en fruitig aromatisch profiel met tonen van framboos en zwarte bes, en wat kruidige en zoethints. In de mond is hij rond en zijdeachtig met zachte en rijpe tannines en een goede fruitconcentratie. De afdronk is lang en elegant. Hij smaakt uitstekend bij geroosterde paddenstoelen, varkensfilet met eekhoorntjesbrood of lasagne met paddenstoelen.
