Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Nu drinken of tot 7 jaar bewaren. Decanteren om sneller te laten openen, maar dat is niet nodig.

    Net zoals een mooie abstracte collage veel verschillende beelden combineert tot één, combineert "Abstract" wijnen van 150 verschillende specifieke percelen en brengt ze harmonieus samen. Met een door droogte geteisterd groeiseizoen bleef wijnmaker Dave Phinney achter met zeer lage opbrengsten. Hij merkte dat de kleine hoeveelheid druiven die hij wel had, kleine trossen met kleine bessen waren die intens geconcentreerd waren. Na gisting en vatrijping van elke partij afzonderlijk, ging hij op zoek naar zijn abstracte wijn tussen alle vaten. Elk was een goede wijn op zichzelf, maar toen hij de juiste verhoudingen vond, openbaarde zich zijn perfecte "Abstracte" kunstwerk.

    De eerste aroma's omvatten rijpe zwarte pruimen en Luxardo kersen. Na een draai in het glas glijden tonen van karamel, koffie en mokka subtiel naar voren. Bij het proeven wordt de bessen kwaliteit van de Grenache royaal gebalanceerd door de stoffige en zachte tannines.

    Drink bij pittigere rundvleesgerechten of gezouten varkensvlees zoals Jamon Iberico. Aangezien alle druivensoorten uit Zuid-Frankrijk komen, is de klassieke Provencial Beef Daube een perfecte combinatie.

    Orin Swift Cellars is eigendom van en wordt gerund door David Swift Phinney. Nadat hij verliefd werd op wijn tijdens een reis naar Florence, Italië, werkte hij als tijdelijke oogster voor Robert Mondavi Winery voordat hij in 1998 Orin Swift Cellars begon. Orin komt van de middelste naam van zijn vader, terwijl Swift de meisjesnaam van zijn moeder is.
